Tucketts Founder Paola Invited to Talk Latina Entrepreneurship with JLo
With the onset of Lantinx Heritage Month, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than with the powerhouse Jennifer Lopez herself!
On September 12th, Tucketts founder Paola Shah had the opportunity to participate in a round table discussion about the future of Latina entrepreneurship with fellow leaders and changemakers.
According to the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative, Latinas own 44% of Latino businesses, making them a key portion of the U.S. economy.
Paola sat up front with Isabel Guzman, Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA), David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs, and JLo to swap stories about the struggles and triumphs of being a Latina in business.
The event at The Lit. Bar kicked off Lopez’s new initiative Limitless Labs, a program designed to support and empower Latina-owned small businesses to navigate prejudice in the workplace and post-pandemic life.
“You inspired me more than you will ever know,” said Lopez in her hometown of The Bronx. “Remember, we’re not asking for a seat at the table…we’re the CEOs at the table!”
We couldn’t agree more, JLo!
At Tucketts, we’re committed to supporting women across the globe in everything we do. We’re incredibly grateful to have met with such inspirational and powerful Latina business women, and can’t wait to see what we can all accomplish together.
