We’re a women-run business with a love for sustainability and a passion for spreading the message about the foot-brain connection. Our belief in the balance between people, planet, and profit has led us to a partnership with a factory in South America.
When selecting a factory to manufacture Tucketts™, we decided to make the “people” part of the equation and our priority. Our factory is fully engaged with the W.R.A.P. ethical principles; and belongs to a local clean production agreement with a tight-knit web of suppliers. We strongly believe in diversification of the apparel industry in order to increase sustainability of manufacturing. This is what initially attracted us to our factory; to help support emerging manufacturing regions and decrease the unemployment rate in South America.
We are very grateful for being able to take an idea and make it into a business. Since Tucketts™ was born we have been looking for ways to make a positive impact. We wanted to ensure our support reaches communities beyond yoga, pilates, and other fitness studios.
As you gain extra balance by wearing a pair of Tucketts, someone (or something) will get to balance their body and mind through our different community and environment-oriented initiatives: peace-building in Colombia, worldwide marine conservation, education in Tanzania for Maasai girls, and helping to provide prosthetic feet for children in need.
